August 2006 1) Back From Kenya 2) A Special Welcome 3) What's To Come ----------------------------------------------------- Back From Kenya ----------------------------------------------------- Those of you who have received this newsletter before will know that I spent this August in Kenya helping with famine relief work. The trip was very successful. We visited several different tribes, taking food and medicines with us to distribute as needed. We also helped control mosquito breeding near five villages which are particularly susceptible to malaria, and where many people aged 10-40 die each year. Being away has, of course, meant that I have not been able to work on the site at all this month. Now I'm back though, I plan to make up for that. ----------------------------------------------------- A Special Welcome ----------------------------------------------------- Before I go on to say what's coming up in September though, let me first say one very special welcome. A rather large number of people have signed up to this newsletter since the July edition, and I happen to know where the majority of those people came from.
