First Photoshop Brush Competition

Our very first brush exhibit...

Please Note: This competition is now closed. This was the very first brush competition that we ever ran.

Do you have a set of themed brushes that you'd like to enter? All 'themed' means is that the set should be centered around one topic, like "Stars" for example. Don't submit brush sets that contain lots of unrelated brushes. 'Abstract themes' (like "Swirls" or "Splatters") are fine. :)

Even if you don't have a set yet, why not give it a go! Making brushes is great fun, so just pick a topic and create 10+ brushes on that topic. See my brush sets above for examples.

Then once you have a brush set, all you have to do is write a few words describing your brushes, and explain why you picked your topic, and you're in with a chance of winning $100! You'll be given details of how to send in the brushes after you write the description.

The brush set should be an ABR brush set file, and can be put in a ZIP file if you like. Most brush sets will probably be a couple of megabytes in filesize, but certainly shouldn't exceed 10MB.

One important note: The brushes must be all your own work. They can incorporate photos you have taken or images you have made, but they must not contain material that is copyrighted by other people! Other people will be allowed to download and comment on your brushes.

Multiple entries are allowed - you can submit as many brush sets as you like. I will pick the winning brush set after the closing date, Midnight (GMT) on the 15th January, and award the winner 100 $US via PayPal. (Competition is now closed!)

My decision will be final - The 'best' brush set is the one that I deem to be of the best quality. It does not need to contain hundreds of brushes, as quality is more important than quantity. Inventive, imaginative brushes that are eye-catching and relevant to the theme are likely to do well.

So what about it then? Fancy winning that $100 as a late Christmas bonus?

Are YOU Game?
