Frame, Swirl and Dot Brush Examples

I wanted to created some unique frames to use for my photos. I began by making some dots and lines. Sometimes I tried to grunge them up a bit (only using the brushes that come with Photoshop and Photoshop Elements). Other times I distorted them, and I found that by applying layer styles (only styles that come with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements), I got some really interesting looks.

I used free transform a lot and the motion blur to create a brushed look on the ends of the lines. I should also explain that if I needed a swirl, I would type a question mark, erase the dot and then distort to the shape I wanted. I'm very happy with my frames and plan on using them often. This was a wonderful learning experience.
