A Birthday Gift For You
-----------------------------------------------------
It's my birthday on Monday 23rd July, but I'm giving you a present. Why? Well, it's not really a birthday present, as much as a 'Sorry for my unannounced absence' present.
Get the gift here, a free ribbon brush set, and read on below for details:

An Explanation For You
-----------------------------------------------------
Those of you who have been newsletter subscribers for a while will have noticed that there were no May or June newsletters. Having never missed an issue since the newsletter started back in February 2006, I feel this deserves an explanation.
For anyone new to the newsletter, you might have been wondering what kind of newsletter this is. Well, here's the thing. It's not written by a company, or an organisation with lots of staff and people to cover for you when things go awry. It's written by me! A person.
We all know that sometimes life goes a bit crazy, and the last few months definitely qualify. Back in early May, a close family relative passed away. Apart from being very upsetting, this was also right before my end-of-year university exams, and many of the coursework deadlines I had.
To top it all off, once my exams were finally over, my sister's wedding followed shortly after. Since then I've also had to attend a week-long conference that had me out of the house from 8am to 11pm every day.
Throughout this period I simply didn't have the time or energy to reply to E-Mails, make brush sets, write articles or newsletters, or do anything to the site really! So that's why it's all been quiet for a while.
Thank you very much to all who wrote in with concern. I was touched by the number of people who noticed that I'd gone!
Now for some good news and some bad news. Which would you like first? :D
Bad news, I'm away again for just over a fortnight starting the 25th July, so there won't be another (proper) newsletter this month.
Good news, I have some projects on the go while I'm away, and will be working hard both before I go and after I get back, to make up for lost time.
It's good to be back. I hope you'll excuse this rather unusual newsletter! I look forward to providing you with many more useful resources in the months to come.
Until next time!
Very warmest regards,
Robert Redwood.
